Taking place just prior to the Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall, you’ll get an overview of the meeting, learn about the history and excitement of New Orleans, and how to get the most out of your visit. You'll also hear from this year’s highlight country about the latest research and innovations happening in France.
Poster Oral Presentations
In order to increase exposure of the wealth of knowledge, research and science found in the Poster Hall, Poster Awards Candidates will deliver a two minute oral presentation, briefly highlighting the overall premise of their research. These mini-presentations will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2020.
Interactive Training Showcase
No CE credit will be available for these training sessions.
Visit the training showcase theater on the Exhibit Hall floor for thirty minute, interactive training sessions from companies on a variety of topics. will take place on Sunday and Monday.

SNMMI's Annual Meeting offers full-day categorical seminars to provide you with a deeper level of understanding as you examine a single topic of clinical, scientific, or academic interest.
This three part session is designed for the nuclear medicine technologist program directors or any nuclear medicine technologist with an interest in education. The course will explore interactive learning techniques, including a various strategies to enhance student engagement, flipped classroom environments, and how NMT programs are meeting the demands of training entry-level technologists. In addition, the new NMTCB CT exam will be discussed, along with changes in the self-study documentation and steps associated with the accreditation process.
Emerging Technology Sessions
Each year, the Center for Molecular Imaging Innovation and Translation (CMIIT) sponsors sessions highlighting new agents, issues, and technologies.
CT and MRI Case Reviews
Attendees will review and interpret CT and MRI case studies under the direct supervision of a board-certified radiologist. Topic areas include: Abdomen, Pelvis, Chest with Cardiac, Musculoskeletal with Spine, and Neuro (Brain/Head and Neck).
Cardiac Case Reviews
This course is intended for nuclear medicine specialists and cardiologists who interpret cardiac PET/CT, in order for the attendee to accumulate 20-25+ cases for the ultimate intended goal of at least 50 cases (at future sessions) as recommended by the recent 2017 ACR-APR-STR Practice Parameter. The primary focus will be on adult cases, but a few pediatric cases will also be presented.
Nuclear Medicine Review Course
Additional registration fees apply.
The course covers adult and pediatric general nuclear medicine, PET/CT, and nuclear cardiology. Imaging protocols, image interpretation, and limitations/pitfalls will be reviewed. NRC rules and regulations also will be reviewed.
Student Technologist Registry Review
Additional registration fees apply.
This course is designed as a review for anyone preparing to sit for the NMTCB and/or the ARRT examinations. The course includes an 8-hour review session on Saturday and a mock registry examination on Sunday. The review session will consist of a review of the Components of Preparedness statements, including the commonly performed tasks in specific content areas as well as review of the procedures, equipment, and pharmaceuticals commonly used. The mock examination will follow the typical registry examination format. Time is allowed for grading and discussion of the examination answers. Participants should bring calculators.
The review session will be informative as well as interactive and fun, with prizes awarded to participating students.
